Social Justice Fund is pleased to announce the round five awardees of our Emerging Justice Fund Grant!

The Emerging Justice Fund (EJF) moves unrestricted funds to resource grassroots organizing for communities that have been and continue to be targeted by Federal, State, and Local policies. There were five cycles of EJF in 2025, moving a total of $500,000. Congratulations to our final round of grantees:

Blackfeet Eco Knowledge | Browning, MT

The mission of Blackfeet Eco Knowledge is to honor and uphold the teachings of the Niitsítapi Elders by protecting and restoring the sacred relationships between land, water, and all forms of life. They are committed to revitalizing Niitsítapi ways of knowing and safeguarding the future for the Blackfoot Confederacy and the world.

Center for Black Excellence | Portland, OR

The Center for Black Excellence is a backbone organization for a collaborative of community-based organizations and schools. Together, the collaborative is advancing a culture of Black excellence, unifying and elevating the Black educational experience, and improving outcomes for black students, families, and educators.

Family Forward Oregon | Portland, OR

Family Forward leads the fight to pass statewide laws that will allow Oregon mamas and caregivers to not just survive, but to thrive. They provide leadership development opportunities and political education to mamas and caregivers, and through their sister organization, work to elect candidates who will fight for inclusive laws.

Glacier Queer Alliance | Kalispell, MT

Glacier Queer Alliance (GQA) is a community of caring individuals who wants to connect in the Flathead Valley of Montana, and beyond. The mission of GQA is focused on providing positive, safe, community resources, events, and spaces for people of all gender identities and sexual orientations in the Flathead Valley.

Idaho Organization of Resource Councils | Boise, ID

The mission of the Idaho Organization of Resource Councils is to bring people together to build grassroots power through community organizing, leadership development and civic engagement, and take action to promote and protect health, safety, dignity and justice for frontline communities, including farm workers, and directly impacted communities.

Indigenous Just Transition | Seattle, WA

Indigenous Just Transition empowers Indigenous communities worldwide to move beyond extractive economies and build sustainable futures. Their work is deeply rooted in Indigenous stewardship, decolonization, regenerative economies, environmental justice, community care and healing.

Linn Benton Lincoln Health Equity Alliance | Corvallis, OR

Linn Benton Lincoln Health Equity Alliance is a Black, Indigenous, Latine, and Non-binary led grassroots coalition working to connect communities and advance health equity in Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties in Oregon State.

Outreach & Transform Lives | Federal Way, WA

Outreach & Transform Lives (OTL) envisions a future where African immigrants thrive socially, economically, and environmentally in Washington State. Their commitment is to empower each individual through initiatives that foster cultural pride, holistic well-being, and leadership in sustainability.

Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition | Portland, OR

Since 2005, Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC) has been on the front lines, defending the rights of immigrants in their community. PIRC equips immigrants with vital knowledge about their rights, strengthens immigrant families through comprehensive support, and actively engages with policymakers and media to share immigrant stories and challenge injustices.

Tacoma For All Community Outreach | Tacoma, WA

Tacoma for All is a democratic membership organization that unites tenants, workers, and community members to transform Tacoma into a city governed by and for working people. Together, they are building a movement to abolish poverty, guarantee housing for all, dismantle racial inequities, and secure a sustainable future.

Unidos Nueva Alianza | Ephrata, WA

Unidos Nueva Alianza (UNA) is a grassroots nonprofit deeply rooted in community and guided by the voices of those they serve. UNA stands with and advocates for low-income, systemically marginalized, and underserved communities—including immigrants, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, seniors, and people with disabilities.

Water Climate Trust | Fort Klamath, OR

The mission of Water Climate Trust is to restore ecosystems with people who depend on them for food, jobs, health, and cultural survival. To this end, they improve water and climate policy and investments through advocacy, research, education, and stakeholder capacity building.
