Social Justice Fund is pleased to announce the round two and three awardees of our 2025 Seed Grant cycles!

Seed grants will provide small unrestricted funds to new groups who are in the early stages of building their community work but do not yet meet all of SJF’s community organizing criteria, and may not yet qualify for our regular grants. There were three cycles of Seed grants in 2025, moving a total of $75,000. Congratulations to our second and final round of grantees:

Bozeman Tenants Education Fund  | Bozeman, MT

Bozeman Tenants United is the city-wide tenants union. They are building a multi-racial, intergenerational movement of tenants to win safe, dignified, and truly affordable housing for all.

Citizen Nine26 | Spokane, WA

The mission of Citizen Nine26 is to support those who have been wronged by providing access to public records and connecting them with essential resources. The organization strives to promote healing, advocate for justice, and empower individuals with the tools they need to reclaim their narrative and rebuild the future.

Growing Ancestral Roots | Corvallis, OR

The mission of Growing Ancestral Roots is to grow and empower immigrant, refugee, and women food entrepreneurs and farmers through land, shared kitchen space, mentorship, and real opportunities to build sustainable food systems. The organization supports community resilience, cultural traditions, and women-led businesses that strengthen us all.

McCall + Pride | McCall, ID

McCall + Pride creates and fosters a safe and supportive community for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks of the West Central Mountains of Idaho through education, advocacy, and outreach initiatives.

Oregon Rohingya Myanmar Muslim Society | Portland, OR

ORMMS is dedicated to supporting Rohingya, Myanmar, refugees and immigrants through resettlement aid, language classes, cultural events, advocacy, and community programs. The organization is committed to fostering integration while preserving cultural identity, and strives to make a positive impact on the lives of refugees and immigrants in the community.

Sovereignty Rises | Bellevue, WA

Sovereignty Rises supports the restoration of community development self-determination to Indigenous and underserved communities by building regenerative, Indigenous-led systems rooted in land, culture, and intergenerational stewardship. The organization provides connections to education, training, and services that support communities in developing sovereignty.

The Native Sharing Garden | Seattle, WA

The Native Sharing Garden is a BIPOC community garden Coast Salish / Puyallup land that works to preserve Indigenous sovereignty and land rights through growing, learning, and healing in community.

West African Relief Center | Seattle, WA

The West African Relief Center empowers the West African community through culturally appropriate resources. Through community development and youth programs, the organization provides opportunities for parents and children to engage in fun, educational experiences together.
